Travelling Abroad - Documents required

Prior to the BT vehicle being taken abroad it will be necessary to contact the AA European Travel Desk for your Travel Abroad documents on 0870 241 0272 Please note that travel abroad documentation MUST BE OBTAINED by UK based drivers prior to taking a company car or commercial vehicle into the Republic of Ireland (and to all other destinations in Europe).

The AA will issue:

A letter of authorisation - confirming authority to take the vehicle abroad
Department of Transport form VE103 - an administration fee will apply.
Spanish Bail Bonds - if required.
A travel abroad pack - if RAC European Motoring Assistance is taken out.
You should allow 10 working days to receive documents. You should also be aware the Green Card is valid for 1 year from the date of issue and cannot be issued more than 4 weeks prior to the journey.

You must make your own arrangements for adequate roadside assistance and breakdown cover (RAC European Motoring Assistance or equivalent).
