The government has launched a comprehensive consultation to review the number of hours professional drivers can spend behind the wheel.

Recent figures from the Vehicle & Operator Services Agency (VOSA) reveal that 44.7R% of LCVs grossing 3.0 to 3.5 tonnes failed the MOT test in the year 2007/2008 - the worst MOT failure rate of any type of vehicle on the road.

The government has announced a package of measures designed to alleviate the disruption caused by roadworks.
