Although the apprentice programme is run by BT, you will be working for us, BT Fleet, a wholly owned subsidiary of BT. There are currently opportunities in the fleet service and business administration areas of our business.

Fleet services

We provide transport services and maintain one of the largest fleets in the UK, and on this scheme you'll learn everything you need to know to become a high-tech multi-skilled vehicle technician, capable of working on vehicles ranging from a small car to an articulated lorry.

The minimum entry requirements for the vehicle technician scheme are 3 GCSE's grade C or above (or equivalent) including English, Maths and a science subject. You will also work towards a Key / Core Skills qualifications and an Occupational NVQ in Motor Vehicle Service and Repair at Level 3, as well as doing a BTEC qualification.

There are currently over 10 positions for vehicle technician apprentices throughout the UK.

Business administration

A business doesn't run itself, and we need people to give clerical support, analyse information and prepare reports as part of teams across the business, although most opportunities are in finance and billing. You'll need computer skills and be well organised, literate and fairly numerate, with a good eye for detail and an appreciation that your team will be relying on your high standards.

The minimum entry requirements for the business admin scheme are 5 GCSE's grade C or above (or equivalent) including English Language and Maths. You will also work towards a Key / Core Skills qualifications and an Occupational NVQ in Business Administration at Level 3, as well as doing a further education course in Business and Finance.

There are currently 3 positions available for business administrators at our head office in Birmingham, by the NEC and Birmingham airport.
