Apprentices
Want a great career and lots of development opportunity? Would you like to work in the fleet services industry? If so, then BT's Career Start Apprenticeship programme could be the right move for you.
Although the apprentice programme is run by BT, you will be working for us, BT Fleet, a wholly owned subsidiary of BT. There are currently opportunities in the fleet service and business administration areas of our business.
Fleet services
We provide transport services and maintain one of the largest fleets in the UK, and on this scheme you'll learn everything you need to know to become a high-tech multi-skilled vehicle technician, capable of working on vehicles ranging from a small car to an articulated lorry.
The minimum entry requirements for the vehicle technician scheme are 3 GCSE's grade C or above (or equivalent) including English, Maths and a science subject. You will work towards Key / Core Skills qualifications and an Occupational NVQ in Motor Vehicle Service and Repair at Level 3, as well as taking a BTEC qualification.
Business administration
A business doesn't run itself. We need people to give clerical support, analyse information and prepare reports within teams across the business, although most opportunities are in finance and billing. You'll need computer skills and to be well organised, literate and fairly numerate, with a good eye for detail and an appreciation that your team will be relying on your high standards.
The minimum entry requirements for the business administration scheme are 5 GCSE's grade C or above (or equivalent) including English Language and Maths. You will work towards Key / Core Skills qualifications and an Occupational NVQ in Business Administration at Level 3, as well as taking a further education course in Business and Finance.
